Introducing AI – but with an exit strategy, please: why companies need to ask the right questions now
Many companies are integrating AI agents and LLMs into their core processes – often faster than governance, cost control or exit scenarios can grow with them. In his new article, Prof. Dr. Heiko Beier, founder and CEO of moresophy, shows how quickly technological progress can lead to strategic dependencies: rising costs, lack of transparency, limited ability to act when changing models or providers.
The article in the IT newspaper ITWELT.at makes it clear why “bigger” does not automatically mean “better” and why open, hybrid and vendor-neutral architectures are not only sufficient for most business cases, but are the only real option for control and resilience in the long term. Seven key questions help companies to critically examine their own AI landscape: from price risks and source code access to the question of where sensitive data is actually processed.
What is particularly exciting is that the new AI sovereignty check translates these questions into a clear status analysis and shows how high the individual lock-in risk really is.
If you want to know how well your own company is prepared for price changes, model changes or compliance requirements and which levers enable real independence, you shouldn’t miss the full article.
